About Cater 2 You Youth Haven

Cater 2 You Youth Haven is a proud 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and licensed 24-hour emergency residential care facility located in Upper Darby, PA, serving homeless and at-risk youth ages 13–21 involved in the child welfare system. Our mission is to cater to the unique needs of children in crisis by providing a safe haven where they can access shelter, basic necessities, emotional support, educational resources, life skills training, and pathways to long-term stability. Founded on the principles of dignity, healing, and empowerment, we strive to create an inclusive and empowering community that fosters resilience, self-confidence, and positive futures for our young residents. Our intimate, home-like setting supports up to 11 residents at a time, offering trauma-informed care, on-site mental health services, mentorship, and individualized service plans delivered by a dedicated team of professionals. As a licensed Child Residential Facility through the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services, we go beyond basic care by offering luxury-level accommodations and partnering with community-based organizations to support medical, educational, and vocational development. By working closely with foster care agencies, juvenile probation, and placement organizations, we help youth transition toward stable, long-term solutions. At Cater 2 You, we believe every young person deserves a chance to thrive, and we work daily to piece back the puzzles of life—one youth at a time.

Cater 2 You Youth Haven recently made the news, and while many were in awe of the beautiful aesthetics and décor, I want people to know that our program is just as remarkable as the design.

Dining Hall

Take our dining hall, for example. No paper plates or plastic cutlery here. Our youth enjoy meals served on fine china, crystal glasses, and gold flatware, because they deserve nothing less.

24-Hour First Day Cater 2 You Experience

We also offer something truly unique, our 24 Hour First Day Cater 2 You Experience. From the moment a young person arrives, they are warmly greeted at the door, assisted with their belongings, and escorted on a personal tour to meet all residents and staff. They are then offered a hot shower with a warm towel, fresh pair of pajamas, and a single room suite for their first night, complete with 24 hour room service. This provides privacy, comfort, and a full day to adjust to their new welcoming environment before we review any rules. We believe in starting with rest, respect, and restoration.

Driver

Even our transportation reflects our commitment to dignity and care. We have a dedicated driver, and our youth never step out of the vehicle until the driver personally opens the door for them.

Everything at Cater 2 You Youth Haven, both the look and the program, was created from pure love and my unwavering passion for serving underserved youth in the foster care system. My goal is to give them a lifestyle many adults have only dreamed of.
